Wat staat er in de magazijnen van de Sint voor de grote dag?

What's in Santa's warehouses for the big day?

It seems that Sinterklaas' warehouses are working overtime this year with an impressive range of toys that are trending and sustainable.

What do we think are the five most striking trends in Santa's toy warehouses? A summary! And scoop: at the very bottom of this article, another big hit ...

1. Do-it-yourself, that is, crafting!

MakeDo

Crafting? That's pure fantasy and creativity for children. They learn to cut, paste and create in a playful way. What's more, it boosts their self-confidence and they have loads of fun! For example, Fairplace offers the Makedo Discover set , a do-it-yourself package that encourages children to work with their hands and let their imagination run wild. Crafting with cardboard has never been so much fun!

2. Did we already talk about sustainable toys?

A keeper this year: sustainable toys continue to gain in importance. Never before has there been so much demand and so much supply of sustainable toys. Bio-building blocks, stacking sets, boats and cars made from recycled plastic? They exist, and we have them. Our Green Toys are made from 100% recycled plastic. Check! Needless to say, we are big fans of this trend … and it is here to stay.

3. Outdoor toys to take your kids on an adventure

Playing outside is becoming increasingly important. It not only stimulates children's physical health, but also their imagination and adventurous spirit. Fairplace's range includes the best outdoor play items such as the Hape Take-Along Swing , the Wishbone Balance Bike or the Micro Eco Steps , ideal for young adventurers.

4. Indoor toys that keep your kids away from screens

In an age where screens are ubiquitous, Fairplace offers alternatives that encourage children to spend their time indoors creatively. From board games, role-playing with our doll crib , our Waytoplay sustainable playset for car enthusiasts, the latest WILTOPIA animal rescue quad from Playmobil to building sets like Kapla . There are plenty of options that help children develop their skills without being glued to a screen.

5. Open end play remains a trend

GRAPAT

And this is what we hear as a new trend in schools and childcare: the importance of playing without rules, so-called ' open end play '. Playing with what you find and what you happen to bring together. Or with toys that are specially designed for that. Like GRAPAT for example, our Wobbel or our Stapelstenen . Playing without rules and without a goal. It takes some getting used to as a parent, but it works ... especially when you see how much fun the children have with it.

To conclude, this cracker: Fairplace is also publishing an online Sinterklaas book this year. Our 100 best pieces of sustainable toys collected in this flipbook:
