In the autumn, we often get the question: 'Do we need to secure our trampoline for autumn and winter? And if so, how?'
Well, you would do well to firmly secure your BERG trampoline (on legs). When it's windy or stormy, your BERG trampoline will stay neatly in your own garden and won't unintentionally move to your neighbours'. Of course, you don't need to secure a BERG Inground trampoline or a BERG Flatground trampoline: because they are dug into the lawn, they are already sufficiently secure.
Tip 1: there is a specific BERG anchor set for your trampoline
A BERG trampoline anchor set prevents the trampoline from blowing away. This set consists of 4 anchors and 4 straps. The anchors are spiral-shaped: you can easily twist them into the ground and they stay firmly in place. Once you have twisted the BERG anchors into the ground, you place the straps over the trampoline frame and thread them through the eye of the anchor. With the simple clasp, you tighten the straps firmly so that your trampoline cannot move. By the way: even if your trampoline is not a BERG brand, the anchor set can be used.
Tip 2: be careful with other ways to secure your BERG trampoline!
On social media, you see all sorts of constructions with ribbons, weights, and stones to secure your trampoline. Be aware that these methods are not as effective as an anchor set. Such interventions can even cause damage to your trampoline, which you won't experience with the specific BERG anchor set.
Tip 3: maintain a safe distance between your BERG trampoline and other objects
If your trampoline is not anchored, for example, because it's on a tiled floor, then it's best to ensure there's enough free space between the trampoline and its surroundings. Firstly, this ensures the safety of the jumpers. But it also prevents your BERG trampoline from causing damage should it shift due to wind, for instance. Provide at least 1 meter of distance between an obstacle (a wall, a plant, a garden shed, etc.) and the trampoline.
