Getest en goedgekeurd: dit kan je allemaal doen met de Bilibo

Tested and approved: this is what you can do with the Bilibo

A turtle shell. A sand shovel. A water bucket. A rescue helmet. A hero mask. A wobbly, spinning chair. A stool. A step stool. A doll cradle. A snowman mold. A giant bowl for cereal. An impenetrable home base for action figures. The Bilibo is all of these things!

And the best part is: unlike the buckets, wooden planks, cardboard boxes and other knickknacks that kids find in the garage to play with (much to your chagrin), Bilbo is meant to be played with .

We asked @mamalobke to test the Bilibo together with her children and this is what her offspring did with it. Get inspired but do your own thing with it.

Use the Bilibo as a building block

Bilibo as a building block

"When we first got the Bilibo, Mil immediately started building with it. Use the Bilibo as a creative building block. Stack them on top of each other, make walls or make your own constructions. You can even add other toys such as Stacking Stones, Wobbels or objects to make your construction even more awesome!"

The Bilibo is perfect for practicing your balance and coordination

Bilibo keeping balance

"Since we have the Bilibo in our home, it has become a permanent part of our interior. Mil now uses it daily as a seat, but what is really fun is that he also sits on the Bilibo and tries to keep his balance while moving his arms and legs. Try to see if you can stand on one foot or turn around while sitting on the Bilibo, just like Mil?"

From fire helmet to spaceship: the Bilibo is it all

Bilibo as a fire helmet

"'Mamaaaa I'm a fireman!' and a few minutes later there's a turtle on the couch. Since we got the Bilibo, Mil has been letting his imagination run wild and creating his own adventures at will. This makes the Bilibo a real prop in all his role-playing games: from a spaceship, a treasure chest, a shield to a hat."

Sensory play

Bilibo Sensory Play
"Another fun thing to do is to let your child play with his/her senses by putting different textures and sounds in the Bilibo. Fill your big bowl with sand, water, rice or beans. Mil loved sliding his hands through it, sifting the material or using the Bilibo as a sensory table to experiment with different materials. It's all possible!"

Use the Bilibo to play active games

Bilibo as a course

"Our children are real sportsmen and they use the Bilibo as an extra sports buddy! Roll with it on the floor, race against other Bilibos or try to jump in from a raised spot. The Bilibo stimulates physical exercise and helps children to get rid of energy. Ideal!"

What else can you do with it?

  • Take a trip around the world in your living room or garden and use the Bilibo in
  • Play 'The floor is lava' with the Bilibo
  • Sit in the Bilibo and spin around
  • Create a barefoot path and use the Bilibo with the convex side up as a stepping stone
