Fairplace is a small-scale online store, but we do everything we can to answer your questions quickly. We almost live inside our mailbox but we also like to meet 'live', with or without a demo of our toys.

Who and what is Fairplace

  • Do you also run a shop?

    No, Fairplace is merely a webshop. But we regularly take part in a temporarily shop or a pop-up concept, which allowes you to meet us and our products in person.

  • Why did you start with sustainable toys?

    There are a lot of toys on the market. Unfortunately, sometimes it looks very nice, but it’s not firmly made. Or you can tell that it won’t last long. In addition, we saw that in the toys of our own children a lot of material is used as raw material that is not entirely ecological or sustainable. In 2013 we started looking for toys that are stronger, firmer and more ecological.   Fairplace was established with attention for people and the environment. You can find a part of our goal in our name: Fair + Place. A dream to make this world a fair place.

     

  • I can find your toys in shops, how does that work?

    We often get questions to offer our product in stores, usually in addition to other items or another activity. You can already find us in eco-shops, world shops, vegetarian restaurant or a museum shop. The complete overview can be found on our webshop.

Orders for professionals

  • Can I get an invoice for my order?

    When you order at  www.fairplace.be, you automatically receive an invoice of your order via the email you gave up as a customer. If you want to place a larger order or you want an order form, then please email us your order, so that we can email you the invoice.

  • We want to order a larger amount, is that possible?

    Ofource. You can create a login via the “for professionals” button at the top of our website.  So that we have all the necessary information. Once you created a login, you can immediately place your order. Or you can contact Christophe or Yves via [email protected] for more information. We are happy to provide you personal advice or to make a quotation for larger orders.

  • We are a school, child day-care, a non-profit organization, youth service. Can we also order toys?

    ofcourse you can.  You are the professionals we like to have as customers. Via the login button for professionals at the top of our home page you can create your own login. We will have all the information we need and you will be able to order right away. If you have any questions or are looking for additional advice, please send an email to [email protected] and we will certainly help you further. We will also be happy to make a quotation for you.

About our toy-range

  • How do you select your sustainable toys?

    Toys at Fairplace must first be good, functional and fun to play with. We call that the “play value’ factor. Furthermore, the toys need to be sustainable, meaning, the toys need to be strong and firm, but also bio, eco-friendly, Fairtrade, or made in correct conditions for people and environment.  

    We always check with our suppliers how and where our products are made. We examine labels and warranties. We test the safety and harmful materials. We don’t sell any products that don’t meet up to that. If you have any further tips, questions or comments, you can always let us know via our email [email protected].

     

  • Do you make your own sustainable toys?

    That is our ultimate dream. We would like to design and launch a Fairplace line ourselves. Meanwhile we are working towards this dream. We already had our own tipi made and the waterplay table is our first real own product.

  • Where do your selected toys come from?

    We search online for sustainable toys all over the world. The toys in our product range can be from work shelters nearby but can also be from local businesses in Thailand. (such as the toys of Plan Toys)

    We mainly have European suppliers (who also produce in Europe). But if a product really fits our product range, it can also come from Canada, America or New Zealand, like the balance bikes from Wishbone.

  • Why do you only sell toys?

    The people behind Fairplace are notorious play birds, the roots of the founders lie with children’s toys and play material, and even after all these years, this love has never passed

    There are plans and ideas to expand the product range, but it will certainly be in the same line: Children’s articles, and as sustainable as possible. It for sure won’t be giant TV’s

Something went wrong with my delivery

  • I didn’t receive my parcel, what do I have to do?

    We send almost all of our packages via Bpost. We have been satisfied with this collaboration for the past couple of years. Normally your package will be delivered within 2 days in Belgium. In the Netherlands it could last up to 5 days maximum. Ofcourse, something can always go wrong. Via the track and trace-code of Bpost, you can follow your package. Didn’t get a track and trace code? Email us via [email protected] and we will send it to you.

    If a parcel gets lost, we are only able to create a file after 20 days at B-post. We will always do this. In some cases the parcel can be tracked down and still gets delivered.   

    Larger deliveries (such as pallets) get delivered by our fixed transportation firm, M-express. They will always receive your phone number from us to call you when delivering.

  • My package was damaged delivered

    It’s exceptional, but it can happen that a parcel got damaged upon delivery. In this case always take some pictures of the damaged parcel and email them to [email protected]. Once we receive the pictures, we can create a file at the company that delivered the parcel. If the packaging is not damaging but the product inside is, take pictures of the damaged product and email them to [email protected]. We will then contact you further.

  • Help, I cannot complete my order

    It happens rarely, but sometimes the system can be overloaded. In this case, you can always contact us, but you can also wait a bit: there will be send an automatic payment reminder. Normally it will be send the same day or the next day. You then can pay via the received link. If you quickly want to be sure, contact us via [email protected] and we will check if you order came through.

  • An incorrect article was delivered

    We would like to apologize for the inconvenient. Something probably went wrong in our warehouse while picking orders. Please contact us via [email protected] and we will solve this as soon as possible.

Delivery and picking up

  • Can I come and pick up my toys in your warehouse?

    Our stock is stocked at Webship in Vichte  (West-Flanders), they handle our stock management and logistics. It is not possible to pick up something there. But you can pick up your parcel at Yves ([email protected]) in Ingelmuster of at Christophe ([email protected]) in Waregem/Beveren-Leie. In this case it is best to send an email to set up an appointment.

    Since 2020 it is also possible to pick your parcel up at our office in the city center of Kortrijk, Rijselstraat 23.

    Attention, we are not here every day and we need to get your parcel here first. Please send an email to [email protected] first to make an appointment.

  • How do you send my package and do I get a Track and Trace-code?

    All our packages are sent via our logistic partner Webship. Most of their shipping partners will give you a track and trace-code, so that you can follow your package. You can always request this from us via [email protected]

  • Can I return a package?

    You can always return a package. Therefore you need to send an email to [email protected]. Make sure the package is send well-packed and intact, so that we can make another child happy. More information about this can be found here.

We are a local board. How can we place an order?

  • We use order forms. Is this possible at Fairplace?

    Yes, you can place an order with an order form from for example municipal administration. Mail us your order form together with your order via [email protected]. we will prepare your order, send it, mail the quotation which will include the order number.

  • We must always ask for a quotation in advance? Is this possible?

    Yes, no problem. Let us know what you are looking for and we will be happy to make a quotation for you. We can be reached via [email protected]

An invoice for my order

  • Can I get an invoice for my order?

    When you order at www.fairplace.be, you automatically receive an invoice of your order via the email you gave up as a customer. If you want to place a bigger order or you want an order form, then please email us your order via [email protected] so that we can email you the invoice.

Using giftcards

  • How do I use a a giftcard?

    Congratulations on your giftcard! On the giftcard you can find a secret code. You can enter this code in the provided box when you’re at the shopping basket. The value of the giftcard will automatically be reduced of your order.

    Note: the shipping cost via Bpost are always excluded of the receipt, which is charged separately.  If you have any questions or problems, please send an e-mail to [email protected] and we will solve it together.

  • I have multiple giftcards but I can only use 1 code?

    It is correct that you can only use 1 code. Our system only allows 1 code at a time. There is a way to use multiple code’s at once. If you want to use multiple code’s at a time, send an email to [email protected] and we’ll make sure you can use the giftcards together.

     

  • Can I order a giftcard from Fairplace?

    Ofcourse you can order a giftcard from Fairplace. You can find them here. If you want a giftcard with a different amount, you just have to send an email to [email protected]. We then send physical giftcards to the address of your choice. This can be the address of the lucky recipient or your home. You will see that you can enter a different delivery address during the order procedure. If this procedure isn’t clear or if you have any questions, you can always send an email to [email protected]
